Road legal bit
We're
not the police and we're not going to get uptight about non-kite marked
exhausts (as long as they are not ridiculously loud) or small number
plates. Dark visors might be acceptable in good daylight conditions
(but to be safe - if there's any chance of poor visibility bring along
a spare clear visor to swap over). This is all about safety - having a
bike in good condition which is safe to ride on the roads and being
able to observe everything going on around you on the road. The
legality
is your own responsibility - if you get nicked that's your problem. But
dodgy tyres, brakes, suspension, badly worn or adjusted chain and
anything else which could affect our safety and that of other road
users - we won't accept the risk of riding with you full stop. We would
be happy to advise you if we believe your bike is not roadworthy, but
as far as the training is concerned it will be day over.
We're no different from any other self-respecting advanced training organisation. It's just that we don't believe in small print or hidden agendas - we tell you this up front. If you encounter a problem in advance of your scheduled day (crash damage, bike fault etc.) please contact us. We can't guarantee being able to reschedule, especially if it will inconvenience other trainees, but it's better to ask than turn up on the day with an unsafe bike. We're as keen as you to get on with the training, but we cannot take short cuts on safety. Back to requirements |
